  1. MIMOS Berhad - MIMOS Knowledge Technology Cluster’s mission is to accelerate the development of new algorithms and components related to knowledge extraction, representation and reasoning, natural language processing, semantic visualisation and multi agents through collaborative efforts with other leading research institutions, world class technology companies and universities.
  2. TM Research and Development - Security, Intelligent Applications & Multimedia Program (SIAM) was established in 2005 providing R&D activities and related services in the areas of security technologies such as revenue assurance, internet intrusion detection, and cryptography; intelligent applications technologies such as SCADA engine, smart building, and RFID applications; and multimedia technologies such as multimedia streaming, and multi-play applications.
  3. Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIRO) - established in 1997, CAIRO is one of the Centres of Excellence in UTM. It has established itself as the leading R&D center in AI, Robotics and Automation in the country. Its main role is to acquire advanced technologies, to be involved in research, and to work with local industries to improve their product competitiveness.
  4. Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Computing (CAIIC) - established to promote research, development and consultancy works in the general area of "Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Computing". This will cover the broader areas of artificial intelligence, neural networks, fuzzy logic systems, human machine interface, decision automation.
  5. Center for Artificial Intelligence Technology (CAIT) -  the center’s main purpose is the application of Artificial Intelligence techniques and methods to support various disciplines through research, teaching and consultancy. Among our current fully funded researches are : Fuzzy Tabu-based Optimization for Job Shop Scheduling, The Preservation of Old Malay Manuscripts through JawiWare, University Timetabling, The Development of Malaysian Medical Data Mining, Intelligent Data Miner, and Agent-based Rough Set Data Mining Tool.
  6. EXTOL AI Lab - X-Net is the result of Extol’s Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) research Lab, which has progressively contributed towards exploring the usage of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) for security applications such as face detection, face verification, online application access security and other applications and solutions requiring an intelligent core.
  7. IRIS Corporation Bhd - IRIS pioneered the world’s first electronic passport and national multi-application smart card with the implementation of the Malaysian Electronic Passport in March 1998 and MyKAD - the Malaysian Government Multi Purpose Card in April 2001.
